Cocaine Hippos

Welcome to yet another blog on be simply smart.
As you always know we decipher complicated and subtle things into much more easier and understandable language.
We would make you sound smarter among you're peers. We cover those topics which are a must go to topics for a casual discussion which are indeed profound

Haceinda NĂ¡poles (Spanish for "Naples Estate") was the luxurious estate built and owned by Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar (not chocobar) in Peurto Triunfo, Antiquo Department, Colombia.

The estate covers about 20 sq km of land. Following Escobar's death in 1993, many of the original buildings on the property were demolished or reconditioned for other uses.
Before moving on under which rock you were living if you are not aware or heard about PABLO ESCOBAR please after reading this article kindly go and watch Netflix series named 'NARCOS'.

Netflix has provided adequate exposure to his life and other parameters.
Escobar was very fond of keeping exotic animals in his captivity so he made sure a zoo was built under his estate which hosted a variety of exotic animals from around the world such as antelope, elephants, giraffes, hippopotamus, ostriches, and ponies.
His estate also comprises a large collection of vintage and luxury cars and bikes, a private airport, a bullring, and even a kart-racing track.

After Escobar was shot and killed by Colombian police in 1993, his family entered a legal struggle with the Colombian government over the property. The government prevailed, and the neglected property is now been taken care by the local municipality.
The cost of maintenance for the zoo and the animals was too expensive for the government, so it was decided that most of the animals would be donated to Colombian and international zoos and parks.

The local government has converted the haceinda premises into a zoo and a amusement park which generates good decent income for the government.
Also remember hippos weren't meant to be live in Colombian climate, but they adapt to changes so quickly that this land became their natural habitat

COCAINE HIPPOS

Escobar's hippos scattered across the proximity of the zoo and live in four lakes across the vicinity.
Since then the population of hippos is doubling.

Hippos are considered to be the dangerous land mammals on the entire globe. They are capable of killing a person within minutes. This posed a threat to the locals residing there as threat of being under attack was always looming over them.
By 2011, there were at least 30 animals roaming wild in the county. The large number of hippos makes it difficult to find zoos into which they can be resettled.
There are reportedly approximately 40 hippos in the haceinda premises.

Government took various measure to curb the menace and sprawling population of hippos. For these they started a campaign to kill hippos. The cost for killing a single hippo was way too expensive in terms of monetary value.
They cease the operation. Also there was wide spread protest against the barbaric actions taken against the hippos by the people.
People used to think hippos as a peace loving animal which was somewhat true but not entirely.

Hippo's manure kinda act as fertilizer for plants in the region and in the water but on the contrary sometimes they tend to destroy local vegetation and force other animals to flee
There is a campaign by local students to protect the lives of hippos.
But for sure the tourism industry is happy by their presence.

Thus we conclude with our profundity on the topic. Please give us any feedback and improvements you want us to implement into the blog untill then
