Korea which was divided hastily into North and South between the American and then Soviet Union resulted in creation of a completely new worlds. South Korea is polar opposite to what North Korea is.

North Korea is a dictatorship based country which follows communism as it's ideology.
The leadership is aristocratic controlling every aspect of the country.

•North Korea expenditure on military

North Korea spends too much money on its defence. It uses it's military power often to threaten other nations. It spends around 20% of its GDP into military even though country faces acute poverty and scarcity of food.

•Drugs are freely available

Drugs are legal in North Korea which may be the silver lining for drug addicts. Drugs are sold in road side shops

•Ban on music, culture

People of North cannot listen to music. If they the government goes bonkers and may arrest you for that.

•Public execution and human rights violation

The country blatantly violates basic human rights. Also execution are carried out in public in broad day light. Freedom to speak, freedom to roam is barred.

•Minimum poop limit

As the name suggest, the country people are forced to store poop upto a certain threshold which is ordered by the government. After South Korea stopped providing fertilizers, human waste is being used as a substitute to fertilizers. "How foul smelling".

•No religious freedom

The people are barred from practicing any religion. It claims to be a atheist country.


•Limited number of hairstyles

Men can only go for any one of the 28 hairstyles listed by the government. I mean it's crazy how a government even controls their citizens hairstyles.

•Blue jeans are a no-go

Blue jeans are banned as a mark of protest against the US imperialism.

•You can only visit 28 websites

One can only visit 28 websites which are of course controlled by the government and is free to access. Computers are expensive to buy and requires permission from the government.

•Only has 3 TV channels

Only three channels are available to watch. They only push the North Korea supremacist propoganda.

•Power cut every night

You may be cribing about power cut which may occasionally, but in North Korea this is daily. This is because the country isn't able to supply electricity to everybody.

•Parents are forced to donate chairs, benches to school

Before enrolling your child it must for you to donate chairs and benches to the school.

•Three-generation punishment rule

North leaders take punitive measures even for slight violations. If a person is punished by the government, then his next 3-generation i.e his children, their children and their children have to face the brunt of government.

•Propoganda city

After the war the North and South decided to create a demilitarised buffer zone. In North Korea close to the buffer zone is a city build by the leadership which looks glamorous.
The people of South Koreans claim that it's only a sham and it's been created to woo South Koreans towards North Korea and to show case their economic prosperity.

•Elections 

Elections happens every year but their is a catch. Only one person is given the candidature and their isn't any other option to vote. Means each district will have only a single candidate.
